Crazy Tube Circuits Sidekick JR
This pedal offers a wide range of modulation effects, echo/delay and reverb options. The modulation effects, including “Ensemble” for warm chorus, “Dimension” for a 3D sound experience and “Flanger” for a metallic touch, are inspired by classic 80s stompboxes.
The Echo/Delay section offers the characteristic sound of a tape echo or the precise repetitions of a digital delay rack unit from the 80s. The Reverb section has two algorithm banks. From timeless sounds like “Plate” and “Spring” to unique 80s reverbs like “Gated” and “Exciter” to octave-rich “Shimmer”, everything your retro heart desires is on board.
An intelligent circuit setup allows the modulation to be used independently of the other effects. This is made even more flexible with the optional XT footswitch. The Sidekick JR also allows you to preset the bypass or engage function for the integrated footswitches on power-up. This allows you to select which state the pedal should transition to when you plug in the power supply. (MSRP: € 289; XT footswitch: € 49)

3String Mercedes Hubcap Guitar
The new semi-acoustic Hubcap Guitar by 3Saiter from Gerolsheim shows already at first sight that it is simply different! An original Mercedes hubcap from the 70s and 80s is used as the top. This is not only vintage, but gives the guitar its very own sound, which is especially suitable for bluegrass, blues, country or even rock.
The round body made of different woods is equipped with a special bracing, which not only positively affects the stability, but also the sound. If desired, the neck-through construction ends in a hand-carved volute at the transition to the headstock and the neck has a truss rod. A DeArmond-“Rhythm Chief”-Pickup integrated into the neck provides tonally tuned amplification with powerful levels.
The light and handy eye-catcher is handcrafted in high quality and is optionally available with six strings, as a three-string or also as an octave 2×3-string. Individual wishes can be considered after consultation. On request, a case is also handmade and specially matched to the guitar available.

FFX Pedals Ark of Tone
FFX Pedals introduces the “Ark of Tone” pedal, a signature overdrive created in collaboration with Canadian guitarist Jonathan Guillemette (Arksolva Studios). Inspired by Craig Anderton’s “Tube Sound Fuzz” circuit, it combines two low-to-mid gain drive units in a compact package. The pedal delivers both harmonic tube amp breakup and the fatness of a fuzz, and everything in between. In the process, it interacts amazingly well with the guitar. CMOS inverter circuits can sometimes sound very bright, especially when used with some of the traditional amp models. The Ark of Tone therefore features an effective but gentle low-pass filter. Secondly, a variable voltage regulator has been included on each of the two drive sides, allowing the voltage to be reduced to as low as 3 volts, which can create a lo-fi sound, for example. The outer footswitches can be used to activate both sides, even simultaneously. When one of the drives is activated, the middle footswitch acts as an A/B selector. The FFX Pedals Ark of Tone can now be discovered at Guitar Summit and will be available late October/early November.

G7th Performance 3 Series
In recent years, the number of classical and other nylon-string guitars with a radius fingerboard has increased significantly. In response to this and building on the success of the Performance 3 capo with “Adaptive Radius Technology” (ART), G7th has expanded its range for classical and flamenco guitarists:
The new Performance 3 Classical comes with the innovative ART mechanism, which perfectly adapts to the radius of each guitar and is said to provide unmatched tuning stability by applying even pressure to all strings. Of course, this model also handles wider, flat fingerboards and even niche guitars like 7-strings. The Performance 3 Classical capos are available in a silver finish and come with a free lifetime warranty.

Ground FX becomes Kodex Audio and introduces GFX-91w Delay
Under the label “Ground FX” guitar effects are built and developed near Hamburg since 2017. At the beginning of 2022, the portfolio was expanded and since then guitars have been an integral part of the range. Accordingly, the “FX” in the brand name no longer felt right to the team. The “KODEX” is its first series guitar and has long been much more than just a product name. In this respect, they did not think twice and all products will be offered under the label “KODEX AUDIO” in the future. Nothing changes in the existing portfolio by the renaming.
Kodex Audio would like to use this year’s Summit to introduce a brand new digital delay called “GFX-91w”. After a long development time and the cooperation with a local engineer, Kodex Audio can finally offer an own DSP solution. The result is impressive: Five presets, up to ten seconds of delay time, subdivisions, a smart modulation, etc. Additionally, there is a display that shows essential parameters like the delay time (ms/BPM).

Schaller tuners and a refined design complete the instrument. An innovative option for musicians who want to combine the warmth and resonance of an acoustic guitar with the versatility and power of an electric guitar.

MADA Guitars Reyal Guitar & Lian Bass
The MADA Reyal with its “Vintage Cadillac Look” offers more space for the forearm due to its two-ply body construction. The cutaway makes the high registers easily accessible. MADA Guitars uses only domestic woods. Thanks to the volume reduction provided by the two-ply construction, denser hardwoods can be used, such as elm on this instrument. Another highlight is the steam-bent headstock: the fibers run with the headstock angle, making it virtually unbreakable.
MADA guitar manufacturing has been concerned with sustainability since the early 2000s. For the left-handed 4-string bass Lian, only trees that had to be felled anyway were used. For example, the neck is made from an ash tree that had to give way from the Augarten Park in Vienna and the top is made from a poplar driftwood trunk from the Ardia. When cutting the neck, an overgrown nail emerged which was integrated into the headstock as a design element.

Marleaux BassGuitars
Marleaux Bassguitars from Clausthal-Zellerfeld break new ground in several respects with their stunning new bass model “Spock”! The archtop body of the 100% German-made electric bass consists of a “Marleaux Logic Mesh” top. This light-transparent material, which is unique in bass construction and has never been used before, has enormous strength. And most importantly, the material sounds sensational!
In cooperation with the Technical University of Clausthal-Zellerfeld and supported by the German Ministry of Economics, the new material was developed for instrument making. The top makes it possible to realize a wide variety of visual ideas on the part of the customer. The bass also scores points with its exceptionally low weight.
The Spock combines a 32-inch scale (medium scale) with a whopping 28 frets. In the sustainable wooden pickup housing hide two coils with the possibility of parallel, serial and single-coil wiring via mini-switch. The onboard electronics with 3-band EQ and passive tone control can optionally be used purely passively.
Also new is the innovative bridge design manufactured in-house: The floating tailpiece made of a wood-stainless steel laminate can be ordered in different versions. The “Regio Tone Wood” is obtained by Marleaux quasi climate-neutral from certified Lower Saxony woods and thus combines distinctive top quality with a good environmental conscience!

Paoletti Stratospheric Lounge, Model 500
& Wooden Pickups
The new “Stratospheric Lounge” model was finished just before the show and will celebrate a European premiere here! A semi-hollow chestnut body is the special feature of this instrument. Equipped with a Paoletti humbucker, two wooden Paoletti single coils and a Paoletti vibrato, it is open to any style.
With the model 500 from the Lounge series, Paoletti introduces an electric hollow-body single-cut with a 3+3 headstock. Its chestnut body is made from Chianti barrels that are over 130 years old. A tailpiece was specially designed for this model, which is produced in house. The MSRP of the model shown at the booth is € 5170 including the deluxe Paoletti case.
Three new finish variants will also be presented: Seashore Blue, Peafowl Gold and Butterscotch White.
The Paoletti Handmade Wooden Pickups made of Italian Walnut will also be on display for the first time. The pickups are equipped with AlNiCo-V magnets. The special “P-Dual Waxing” minimises side noises and interferences. With this method, in contrast to conventional waxing methods, the wax is pressed into every gap of the pickup. In the end, a Paoletti instrument with Wooden Pickups contains less than 1% plastic and thus complies with the sustainability concept, because Paoletti has been a “Carbon Neutral Company” since 2022. Available as Single Coil and P-90, individually and as a set, prices from € 180 per piece or as a free option when ordering a Paoletti guitar.

Peavey Adrian Vandenberg Signature Guitar Series
A classic of the ’80s returns: the Adrian Vandenberg Signature Series includes three colorways – Purple Flame Maple, Rock-it Pink and Matte Black. The refreshed Signature models are a modern interpretation of the most iconic guitars of that era.
Adrian Vandenberg burst onto the global scene in 1982, touring extensively with his band in the US, Europe and Japan. He later shined as Whitesnake guitarist with his unforgettable lead guitar on the chart-topping hit “Here I Go Again ′87” and coined the 8x platinum album “1987”. He also co-wrote the platinum album “Slip of the Tongue” (1989) and shared guitar duties with Steve Vai during the subsequent tour.
His collaboration with Peavey began back in 1988, and the guitars built to his specifications are coveted on the used market today. At the Guitar Summit he will personally present his brand new Signature Series! On Friday, he will be available to answer questions in a Q&A session.
In all three new editions, the neck and body are made of high-quality mahogany, which provides a solid foundation for rich sustain and resonance. The “Purple Flame Maple” has an impressive top made of curly maple. The bound ebony fingerboard adds a touch of elegance, and a “Floyd Rose Original” tremolo bridge allows for precise tuning stability and expressive dive bombs. The Seymour Duncan pickups offer a wide range from snappy high-gain leads to nuanced, dynamic cleans.

Schwung Bass-5
The BQ Music “Xblend” electronics in this brand new Schwung five-string bass was developed by Bas Becu and is said to expand the known sound palette of Jazz and PJ basses in such a massive way that you would never have thought possible! The bass has a set of Nordstrand dual-coil pickups, the tone control offers master volume, a blend control that smoothly mixes the second pickup in, a continuous split function for both humbuckers (which is supposed to sound much better than a tone-pot) and a two-way pickup switch. The Schwung Bass-5 has aging, a newly designed Schwung bridge, 24 stainless steel frets made of two different types of fretwire (1-14 jumbo, 15-24 medium), a compound radius and a subtle multiscale (34-35 inches). The string spacing is 18 mm.

Seb Gavet Travel Guitars Mantispa
French luthier Sébastien Gavet will present his brand new headless folding multiscale travel guitar called „Mantispa“ at Guitar Summit 2023. This handmade one-of-a-kind guitar features a sophisticated folding mechanism that allows the leg and arm rests to fold in on demand, almost like a Swiss Army knife. Thus, despite its compact size, the guitar offers the same playing comfort and sound as standard guitars, thanks to its balanced design, regular scale length and high-quality hardware and pickups. Traveling with a guitar will never be the same again, according to the manufacturer!

Shape Instruments
Around Music Distribution presents acoustic guitars of the brand Shape Instruments for the first time. The distributor even had 12 instruments specially flown in by air freight, as the container ship will not dock in Hamburg until after the Summit.
These guitars are characterized by high-quality materials and workmanship, each Shape acoustic guitar has a sturdy five-piece neck, headstock reinforcement and fingerboards with rounded frets for more playing comfort. The 46 mm nut width is also special. Reliably dried woods as well as good tuners, D’Addario strings from factory, as well as bone nut and bridge inlays come standard. If a pickup is installed, you can rely on the quality of Fishman.
From traveler models to 12-string dreadnoughts, Shape Instruments offers a wide selection for discerning guitarists. The guitars are available in two series:
The “On Stage” series offers solid tops, has a matte finish, and cuts an all-around great figure with its wood binding. They come with a Florentine cutaway and Presys II pickups. The “The Solo” series, on the other hand, has a high-gloss finish and is equipped with Fishman sonitone systems. This is where the fully solid instruments cavort: models with Koa solid top, with solid spruce top and flamed maple body or even with fabulous Granadillo back can be discovered.

TiefTöner GuitarQube 210
The GuitarQube 212, with an edge length of just under 50 cm, is probably the smallest and, at 18 kg, also one of the lightest guitar cabinets with the classic 2×12″ configuration. But in terms of both compactness and weight, TiefTöner is going one better this year and presenting the GuitarQube 210 to the public for the first time in Mannheim. With the N10/100TR, Jensen has managed to build a ten-inch speaker that is in no way inferior to a good twelve-inch speaker in terms of sound and volume in the bass range. And TiefTöner has designed the matching cabinet to achieve a truly full-grown sound despite the ultra-compact format – there’s probably no other way to describe this speaker with its barely more than 40 cm edge length (and only 13.5 kg weight!). This little cube should find a place on every stage and in every rehearsal room, and it is precisely in these cramped locations that its unsurpassed monitor qualities come into their own. In the test area in the basement, you can get a direct comparison with the GuitarQube 212 and countless other speakers from all kinds of manufacturers.

Torillo x Fendt’s Finest – Element Bass
The Element Bass is a collaborative project between Tom Germann of Torillo Custom Basses and Steffen Fendt, operator of the showroom Fendt’s Finest. The concept: to make handmade custom shop quality affordable for everyone. In the basic version, the bass was reduced to the “elementary”. However, the important parts were not spared: selected woods, handmade pickups and electronics find their place in the Element just like the high-quality hardware from Hipshot USA and Gotoh Japan. Sonically, the Element is a modern JB-style bass that is at home in any style and fully lives up to the designation “working horse”. The basic passive model features a red alder body and maple neck, with a choice of maple, rosewood and ebony fingerboard woods. The color palette of the matte lacquer used includes over 200 different shades! Additionally, the Element comes with a number of options that make custom configuration possible. Each instrument is built “on-demand,” which leaves ample room for customization. Sold exclusively by Fendt’s Finest, the Element can be seen and played at this year’s Guitar Summit in the Musensaal at booth 282.

Touch Guitars AU8
The German company Touch Guitars has meanwhile been able to attract artists like Tony Levin, Trey Gunn and Jordan Rudess. Now it introduces its new semi-acoustic model, the AU8. The AU8 is an 8-string hybrid of guitar and bass, designed for two-handed tapping. Handcrafted in Germany and Austria from select woods, the instrument features a piezo system, full-range and multi-channel pickups, and was designed for ergonomic playability. The full-range pickups provide linear reproduction from 20Hz to 20kHz. With a so-called “tone block” with 15 presets, sounds of well-known pickups can also be reproduced. The full-range system can be mixed continuously with the piezo. The multichannel system allows individual pickup of each of the eight strings: Panning from the low strings on the left to the high strings on the right – no problem! Running three sides through a bass amp and distorting the high strings, with only the top two strings having delay – also possible. The AU8 model will be introduced for the first time at Guitar Summit and presented on the Electric Stage by Stefan Huth.

TWS BassBoy & TWS Lulis Signature Amp
Tube WorkShop (TWS) is introducing a 50W all-tube bass amp at Guitar Summit 2023! Triggered by many requests from bassists at Guitar Summit 2022 and afterwards, Tube WorkShop has asked itself why there are actually few to no bass amps in a low power class that are completely based on tube technology? Modern bassists also have a need for transportable all-tube amps. For playing at home, the home studio, the rehearsal room or smaller stages. They want the warm tone and dynamics of an all-tube amp, but they don’t need 300W behemoths and 8×10 cabinets to fill the Wembley Arena with sound. Exactly this gap is filled by the BassBoy from Tube WorkShop, which will have its world premiere at the Guitar Summit 2023 and will be available directly afterwards.
Tube WorkShop also features the signature amp of Accept guitarist Uwe Lulis (formerly of Grave Digger)! It’s a 50W tube amp with a distinctly British sound coloring, which includes an integrated overdrive circuit as a special feature. An important sonic building block to achieve the Lulis trademark sound heard on legendary albums like Grave Digger’s “Tunes of War”. Other features of the amp include two switchable master volumes, as well as a flexible preamp section that can be switched between “JTM / JCM” modes, and has “Deep” and “Bright” switches. In addition, an A/B box is integrated with which the guitar signal can also be switched to another amp or tuner.
As a special highlight, Uwe Lulis will be present at the Tube WorkShop booth on all 3 days of the Guitar Summit from 2pm to 4pm to present his signature amp to you personally.

The brand new Vintage REVO series (Retro Vintage Originals) consists of nine guitars and two basses, in different colors. The product line was developed in collaboration with guitar builder and designer Alan Entwistle. The instruments clearly stand out from the mainstream, both visually and through their sophisticated circuitry. Wilkinson hardware, GraphTech saddles and Entwistle-designed pickups complete the lineup.
Based on the original Rapier guitars and basses from the 1960s, the Rapier series has been redesigned by Alan Entwistle and features upgrades such as Entwistle low-noise mini-humbucking pickups, custom circuitry, C-shaped necks with adjustable truss rod, and high-quality hardware.
